The California Earthquake Authority (CEA) has chosen DataCede, a provider of reinsurance administration software to property/casualty insurers, to better manage and track reinsurance contracts and financial transactions between the CEA and its reinsurers.

As an insurance organization that works with over 25 insurance companies and has more than one million policyholders, CEA sought a reinsurance system that provides the administration framework to its many reinsurance partners.

CEA selected DataCede’s CedeRight solution as the one that best meets its needs. The CedeRight solution leverages modern technology platform and a UI interface that allows the users to navigate the system seamlessly to administer multiple reinsurance contracts.

“CEA represents another important client for the CedeRight reinsurance solution.Throughout the selection and start-up process we have been delighted with the thoroughness and collaboration with the CEA team. It’s an organization that has a sharp business focus and will quickly derive immediate benefit from the CedeRight platform. We value this relationship and look forward to our go live date in just a few short months,” said Phil Masin, Chief Operations Officer of DataCede.

“We selected DataCede in a competitive procurement process. We expect the CedeRight solution to provide the operational efficiencies we seek to better manage our reinsurance contracts and partners,” said Tracy Palombo, Reinsurance and Risk Transfer Director.
